Award Weiners is offering up some seasonal items this holiday season. The seasonal menu consists of a Holiday Beer Cheese Dog, Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake Fries, and Stocking Stuffer Funnel Cake Fries.
Holiday Beer Cheese Dog ($9.79)
The Holiday Beer Cheese Dog is a spicy hotdog topped with sauerkraut and beer cheese served with Award Weiners signature film strip fries. While nothing about it particularly screams the holidays, it is a really tasty dish. The hotdog is quite spicy and the sauerkraut is very flavorful. The bun is toasted and hearty enough to hold up to the cheese and sauerkraut.
Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake Fries ($7.99)
The Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake Fries are toped with a pumpkin spice sauce, pumpkin spice whipped cream, and dusted with pumpkin spice sugar. These are definitely intended for big fans of pumpkin spice flavor. Unfortunately, the pumpkin spice sauce left the funnel cake fries soggy and very chewy. The funnel cake flavor is completely masked by the pumpkin spice. The Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake fries will be available through November 23, when they will be replaced with Gingerbread Funnel Cake Fries.
Stocking Stuffer Funnel Cake Fries ($7.99)
The Stocking Stuffer Funnel Cake Fries are topped with a drizzle of peppermint icing, whipped cream, crushed chocolate creme filled cookies, chocolate coated candy, and crushed peppermint. These funnel cake fries have a great funnel cake flavor and texture, unlike the Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake Fries. The peppermint icing is lightly drizzled, ensuring the fries remained crispy. The crushed chocolate creme filled cookies, chocolate coated candies, and crushed peppermint adds some fun flavors, a great contrast in textures, and makes the dish look very festive.
