Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is offering up some seasonal beverages this holiday season. The seasonal additions are Under the Swizzle Toe, Rum Around the Christmas Tree, and Sam’s Slay Ride.
When we visited Trader Sam’s on the opening day of the holiday season the drinks weren’t available yet, despite being on the menu on the Disneyland website. This is, unfortunately, a problem that happens at Disney more often than it should. The manager did go above and beyond to source the ingredients for us, however. Hopefully, the drinks should be available now, but you may want to check before waiting if you are specifically going to try out the holiday drinks.
Under the Swizzle Tree ($12.00)
Under the Swizzle Tree is Chartreuse Liqueur, Falernum syrup, pineapple and lime juices, and a dusting of cinnamon and nutmeg. The cinnamon and nutmeg dive it a nice holiday flavor, but fair warning, they can get concentrated at the bottom and overpower the last few sips of your drink. It is a tasty beverage, but our least favorite of the seasonal drinks.
Rum Around the Christmas Tree ($12.00)
Sam’s Slay Ride ($12.00)
Sam’s Slay Ride is honey whiskey, Sam’s Gorilla Grog, orange and ginger liqueurs, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup. The best way to describe this drink it that it tastes like the holidays. It tastes like a fire roaring in the fireplace on Christmas morning. This is definitely the most successful holiday drinks and everyone’s favorite.
