The Favorite Things booth at the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure promises “Yummy Dishes, Gifted with Flavor”.
There are two food items offered along with two alcoholic cocktails.
Cranberry Sangria with Lime – $10.25
We found this sangria very light and refreshing with just the right amount of alcohol. It was fruity, a tad sweet with a hint of cranberry and perfect on a warm day. Would definitely order again at $10.25.
Eggnog Cocktail with Whipped Cream – $12.00
This was a huge miss. Phrases like “not good” and “too strong” were thrown around. This only tasted like alcohol, and not good alcohol. For the price you can definitely skip this unless you want a very expensive shot of peppermint schnapps with whipped cream.
Holiday Ham Shanks – $8.00
This has good flavor and came with two pieces of shank. It had a nice smokey aftertaste and good texture. There was a pool of grease at the bottom and for $8 it seems overpriced unless you are a huge ham fan.
Reuben Potato Tots – $6.75
These came with a huge portion of tots covered in sauerkraut and chunks of ham. It may have been better with shredded meat but overall for the price this was well received.
Overall I’d likely only go back for the sangria.
