Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run Will Have a Single Rider Line in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Those who wish to travel without anyone else they know aboard the Millennium Falcon will be in luck when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens later this year at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Millennium Falcon awaits you to help command it in Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Thanks to the rather odd seating configuration and the need for there to be guests in each seat to operate certain tasks (we assume), the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run ride in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will offer a single rider option, in addition to the customary FastPass and standby queues. The single rider line will be used to fill empty individual seats in cockpits. This ensures that Disney isn’t sending out ships that don’t have every seat filled, especially given how long lines are expected to be for this attraction.

Each cockpit seats six guests in this odd fashion aboard Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run

Now, it is worth mentioning that Disney has constructed rides with the intention of a single rider queue, only to shutter or never open them to guests. Avatar Flight of Passage was supposed to have a single rider line but it never opened. Soarin’ at Epcot had a single rider line for a matter of months when it first opened, but it closed rather quickly. Sometimes these things just don’t work out as Disney intends them to and they don’t use them. We are simply stating that a single rider queue has been constructed and there is signage indicating its existence that will be installed.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens Summer 2019 at Disneyland Park and Fall 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

  1. I’m assuming there’s been no rumors of what the height restrictions will be for these attractions yet, right?

  2. I hope it does! I also wish Mission Breakout had a single rider line as well. I am the only person in my family that likes that ride and waiting 40-60mins alone sucks.

  3. I remember last summer asking someone at guest relations why they still haven’t used the single rider at F.O.P. and they told me because the lines are too long. I said, you know what’s a good way to alleviate that? By using a single rider line. Interesting to see how it’ll work out for Star Wars.

    • Flight of Passage does look for single riders once you get to the load bay. So they don’t send empty seats because there basically is a single rider line once you get to the top of the queue. This ensures guests have waited, but still fills available seats.

  4. so instead of a 5 or 6 hr. wait with single user just 4.5 !!! thank the heavens above for tom corless & his staff
