REVIEW: Purple Glove Macaron and Purple Cake Pop Treats at Disneyland Resort

Making our way through the full list of Potion Purple treats available at Disneyland Resort, I had to try these two confectioneries. These treats can be found at multiple locations in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, making them a quick and easy fix for a sweet craving.

Purple Glove Macaron – $5.99

A macaron with blackberry and currant buttercream and a blackberry-currant jam center. This was one of the best macarons that I have had Disneyland. Unlike other macarons at Disneyland, this one wasn’t overly sweet at all. The macarons have a fluffy inside and a crispy, flaky outside. The filling was well-balanced and not too dense.

You can see the nice balance between macaron and filling.

When cut in half, the macaron started to crumble a bit, as it should. It’s quite a big macaron, so it can easily be shared. It can be found at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café and Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream/Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café.

Purple Cake Pop – $4.99

A chocolate cake pop with dark chocolate Mickey ears dipped in raspberry white chocolate. The cake pop was moist and fudgey. The dark chocolate ears dipped in raspberry white chocolate were delicious and a great addition. I loved the raspberry white chocolate flavor and wish they had dipped the whole cake pop in it! It can be found at Candy Palace, Pooh Corner, Trolley Treats, and Marceline’s Confectionery.
