REVIEW: Bacon Cheddar and Green Onion Fritters at Royal Street Veranda – Get Your Ears On Celebration at Disneyland Park
New specialty food items are being released a month after the Get Your Ears On – A Mickey and Minnie Celebration began. First, we tried the new Banana Pudding Churro, then the Celebration Cake from Plaza Inn. Now we’re trying the new Bacon Cheddar and Green Onion Fritters at Royal Street Veranda. Are these fritters worth the indulgence? We’re here to set the record straight.
Bacon Cheddar and Green Onion Fritters – $5.49
These three seasonal fritters are served with a side of cilantro lime crema. We did like that the dough was thick and filling, but the fritters were extremely dry and tasted like breading on a corndog. They have very minimal amounts of bacon and green onion, if any. And we found no trace of cheddar.
However, we did love the cilantro lime crema. It was very flavorful and made each bite of fritter more bearable. By the end of our meal, we found ourselves mainly eating the crema with a side of fritter.
Overall, this seasonal item is one to skip. It sounds delicious, but it left us extremely disappointed.
