Come on everybody, get your food on! With the Get Your Ears On Celebration still underway at the Disneyland Resort, there seems to be no stopping the onslaught of new specialty food offerings. Some of the new items we’ve loved, like the Banana Pudding Churro, and some we haven’t enjoyed at all, like the Bacon, Cheddar, and Green Onion Fritters. So when we saw these new Butterscotch Beignets on the menu at Mint Julep Bar, we were hesitant. But we couldn’t have been more surprised by how much we loved them.

Butterscotch Beignets

These Mickey-shaped Beignets have a rich butterscotch flavor that compliments the fresh, hot pastry very well. Unlike so many past specialty flavors, this one is profound. It tastes very much like what we expect a Butterbeer beignet would taste like, if that was a “thing.” And underneath the layer of white powdered sugar, the beignets have a natural, butterscotch color to them. It doesn’t look like a heavy amount of food coloring was used to achieve this color, unlike some other specialty food items.

If you’re a fan of butterscotch, then these will be your new favorite limited-time snack at Disneyland. You can purchase a pack of three beignets for $5.49 and a pack of six beignets for $8.99.

If we had to make adjustments to our Top 7 Food Items list from the Get Your Ears On Celebration, these Butterscotch Beignets would definitely make the cut. These will give you a reason to keep your ears on during this onslaught of food for the Mickey and Minnie Celebration going on at the Disneyland Resort.
