It’s that magical time of year once again when the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival returns. Garlic Kissed is back once again and we’re here to tell you how it stacks up against previous years.

Black Garlic Soy-braised Pork Belly Banh Mi – $8.00

And for the third year in a row, this pork belly sandwich was a standout. This offering was a perfect cut with an amazing flavor provided by the Garlic Soy (which isn’t overpowering) and just the right, light amount of accompaniments on the petite bun. Pork Belly Banh Mi is an item we see pretty regularly at Disney California Adventure Festivals—for good reason. We hope this item continues to return each year.

Creamy Mac & Cheese with Garlic Bread Crumble – $7.75

Last year we weren’t huge fans of this dish. But we found that we enjoyed it much more this year. The cheese was creamy and smelled as amazing as it tasted. The garlic bread crumble had more flavor this time and added a nice crunch to the macaroni noodles.

Chocolate Crunch Cake – $5.50

This dessert is a brand new item this year, but it may look familiar to guests. It’s essentially a smaller replica of the Mickey Mouse Club Hat Dessert being served at Jolly Holiday Bakery for Get Your Ears On. Because of this, we were a little disappointed. This dessert is too small to be worth $5.50. It was very creamy and chocolatey, which we loved, but we wanted a little more crunch on the bottom. We’d much rather have the same dessert over at Disneyland Park, which is bigger for a similar price.

Bloody Mary With Garlic-stuffed Olive – $13.50

We’re not big Blood Mary drinkers, so this isn’t our favorite cocktail at the Festival. However, if you are a fan of Bloody Mary’s, then you will love this drink.
