REVIEW: Peppers Cali-ente – Food & Wine Festival 2019 at Disney California Adventure Park

It’s that magical time of year once again when the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival returns. Peppers Cali-ente is back again this year and we’re here to tell you if the menu is just as killer as it was last year.

Verlasso Sustainable Salmon Peruvian Poke – $7.50

This spicy and wonderfully fresh dish is still an absolute must for anyone attending the event for the second year in a row. The portion size for the price can’t be beaten. And even though Poke is slightly less trendy this year than last year, it’s still going to blow guests away with how fresh the ingredients are.

Ghost Pepper Mac & Cheese with Chili Cheese Corn Chip Dust – $7.75

This item may seem similar to last year’s mac and cheese, however, it is slightly different. Last year the mac and cheese was made with jaelpeños, while this year it’s made with ghost pepper. And boy was this dish spicy! If you can’t handle spicy food, you might not be able to enjoy this dish. However, if spicy foods are your jam, you’ll love this. The mac and cheese was very creamy and the corn chip dust added a nice crunch to every bite. We would definitely eat this dish again.

Jalepeño-Lime Margarita with Jalepeño Garnish – $13.50

This is a very respectable lime margarita, with a lot of spice thanks to the jalapeños. It seems to serve as more than just a garnish since this definitely had a kick to it.
