You ain’t never had a backpack like this! Ahead of the opening of the new live-action Aladdin this Friday, World of Disney at the Disneyland Resort has displayed plenty of new merchandise. And perhaps the most magical item of all is this new Genie Loungefly Backpack. It has punch, pizzaz, and a brand of magic that never fails.

You might be thinking this backpack looks similar to the Genie Baseball Hat that was released earlier this year, and you’d be right. There are a lot of similarities in the colors and facial expression. His hair, ears, eyebrows, and earring are all features that pop off the backpack, adding a 3D element to this bag. We like that the straps are black instead of blue, to add a bit of contrast.

And if you can’t get enough Genie, the lining on the inside of the backpack features several of his comical expressions from the animated film.

One of our favorite details is the Magic Lamp on the front pocket zipper. Genie may be free, but we will always associate him with his humble abode of ten thousand years.
