Guests with reservations booked for beyond July 10th, 2019 at the Mandara Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are being informed that their reservations have been canceled.
Mandara Spa is a full-service spa and salon located inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It is not operated by the Walt Disney Company, but rather than Mandara Spa chain.
In emails sent to these guests, the Spa Director states the following:
Thank you for scheduling your reservation with Mandara Spa. Unfortunately we will need to cancel your reservation with us as we will be closing our doors on July 10th, 2019. This will be our last day of services if you would like to schedule on or before the 10th. We were informed Disney will be creating a new experience in the space.
So according to the staff, Disney will shutter the location on July 10th, 2019 to make way for a new experience. As for what that might be, well, we don’t know at this time, but one would assume it will be some new Spa experience since it is literally in the name of the Hotel.
Only time will tell.
I really hope it is for a new spa. It was a nice calm get away and getting a mani pedi there in the middle of all the craziness of our trip was always a really nice detour
