If you find yourself in Disneyland Park looking for a dessert that’s themed after a Disney character, Jolly Holiday Bakery has proved to be the place for that. Earlier this year we fell in love with the adorable Lemon Blueberry Bundt Cake inspired by Donald Duck. But the newest dessert offering at Jolly Holiday might be even better if you can imagine. The Tinker Bell-inspired Coconut Cheesecake has just been added to their seasonal menu and this treat will certainly give you all the happy thoughts.
Tinker Bell-inspired Coconut Cheesecake – $5.79
Before we get into our review, we can’t help but share a magical story. After buying this pixie-themed dessert, we headed straight for Pixie Hollow to take some photos. The Cast Members spotted us with this new cheesecake and were so in love with it that they insisted Tinker Bell check it out, too.
Needless to say, she gave her stamp of approval!
This Coconut Cheesecake is topped with white chocolate fairy wings, crispy chocolate pearls, glitter, and frosting made to resemble Tink’s hair bun.
We’re pleased to say that it tastes just as magical as it looks. The cheesecake was so creamy and refreshing. We weren’t certain if coconut-flavored cheesecake would be a hit or miss, but we really loved it. The coconut flavor was just pronounced enough without being too overpowering. Even people who don’t love coconut can still enjoy this. The pearls and sprinkles add a little something extra to each bite, but their purpose is clearly more for looks than taste.
The only complaint we have is regarding the crust. The bottom crust was so thin, it was barely present and it was more soggy than crunchy. If the bakers can tweak this recipe just a bit to add a better, thicker crust, then this would be a perfect dessert.
Jolly Holiday Bakery is our go-to for a sweet treat at Disneyland, and it continues to be a winner with this new Tinker Bell-inspired Coconut Cheesecake. The desserts tend to change throughout the year, so be sure to check it out during your next Park visit.
