REVIEW: Seasonal Chocolate and Coffee Funnel Cake Satisfies at Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland Park

Get Your Ears On Celebration has ended, so the (weird) Sizzlin’ Hot Funnel Cake at Hungry Bear has finally been taken off the menu. And we are super impressed with the seasonal offering that’s taken its place. Now, Disneyland Park guests can satisfy their sweet tooth with the Chocolate and Coffee Funnel Cake.

This is by far one of the best funnel cakes I’ve had at Disneyland. The Honey to Love Funnel Cake available during Valentine’s Month was a great dessert, but this one really takes the cake. The funnel cake is slathered with chocolate fudge and topped with a scoop of chocolate mocha ice cream and whipped cream that form a Mickey. It’s quite big, so I suggest getting this to share with another person.

If you’re not a chocolate lover, this might be too decadent for you. There is a lot of chocolate fudge on this funnel cake, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The fudge is heated up, so the mocha ice cream adds a really nice balance of hot and cold to each bit. My only complaint is that the funnel cake was a little overcooked. I needed a fork and knife to eat this. But it’s possible I was just unlucky this time, as their funnel cake is usually cooked perfectly.

Despite being a little tough to cut, I would still come back for this dessert again and again while it’s being offered.

If you have a sweet tooth for all things chocolate, then this will keep you satisfied the whole day. Don’t miss out on this Chocolate and Coffee Funnel Cake while it’s being offered at Disneyland. It’s seasonal, so it won’t be at Hungry Bear Restaurant forever––although it should be.
