Foolish mortals, have you been enjoying the ghoulish celebrations for The Haunted Mansion 50th anniversary? The spirits have materialized quite a list of specialty food offerings, some of which we’ve really enjoyed. But it’s til death do us part now that we’ve tried The Wedding Cake at French Market Cafe in Disneyland.

The Wedding Cake – $7.99

This cake is composed of buttercream frosting, cherries, cream cheese filling and finished with a splatter of cherry sauce. Of all the specialty food offerings we’ve tried, this feels like the most thoughtful of them all. It’s designed to look like a wedding cake splattered with blood and we imagine Constance Hatchaway would be very pleased by this.

This is a soft, perfectly baked cake. And the strawberry cream cheese icing is pretty fantastic. It’s a notch below the Mardi Gras Coconut Cake, which was our favorite yet, but this is still worth getting. Disneyland hasn’t disappointed us yet when it comes to these cakes.
