The spell is cast and it’s time to get your snack on at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Today marks the start of Halloween Time at the resort, and what’s any holiday at Disneyland Resort without some specialty churros? Over at Churros in Hollywood Land, there’s a new Caramel Apple Churro available for the spooky festivities:
The churro will run you $6.50 for a set of two (or, well, one halved churro) that comes in a tray, actually, as it’s dripping with apple compote and caramel sauce.
Once you get the tray, you realize how heavy and messy the whole situation is going to be.
It’s an otherwise basic churro topped with green sprinkles and sugar dusting, and drizzled with caramel sauce. The apple compote tasted like plain apple pie-type filling, but it complemented the churro nicely.
Heads up, we did have to to use a knife and spoon to get through this churro set as things can get pretty sticky.
Overall, though, the churros did taste a tad stale, but they’re still a nice Halloween-themed dessert if you’re in the mood for apple pie in churro form. If you’re in the area, don’t forget to check out Schmoozies, where they’ve brought back the epic Mummy Donut and a new Minnie Witch Shake.
