BREAKING: Walt Disney Imagineering Management Shake-Up Creates New Roles, New Creative Leaders for Individual Parks and Resorts
Recent organizational changes have taken over Walt Disney Imagineering in order to meet all of the changes in scope and scale taking over the various branches of the Walt Disney Company. That being said, new roles and creative leaders have been named for individual parks and resorts.
Kareem Daniel, the previous Executive Vice President of Global Business Operations at Walt Disney Imagineering, has now been promoted to a new role of President, WDI Business Operations, Product Creation, Games, and Publishing. Daniel will continue to report to Bob Weis, President of Walt Disney Imagineering.
In addition to that new role, a new role is being created for Walt Disney Imagineering Parks Design & Delivery, reporting to Bob Weiss and Kareem Daniel. This leadership role has yet to be filled, but will focus on parks, resorts, and the cruise line.
Zach Riddley is the Site Portfolio Executive for Walt Disney World, the WDI representative for that resort. Within Walt Disney Imagineering at Walt Disney World, Chris Beatty will become the WDI Park Creative Executive for both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Joe Rohde remains WDI Park Creative Executive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Zach Riddley with Tom Fitzgerald head up the leads at Epcot.
At Disneyland Resort, Jeanette Lomboy is the WDI Site Portfolio Executive, with Scott Trowbridge the WDI Park Creative Executive for both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Although taking on the new role at Disneyland, Scott will continue as creative lead on Star Wars projects.
Overseas, Daniel Jue is the WDI Park Creative Executive for Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Luc Mayrand for Hong Kong Disneyland, Nancy Seruto for Shanghai Disneyland, and Tom Fitzgerald for both parks in Paris.
