PHOTO REPORT: Disneyland Park 11/10/19 (Christmas Decorations, Construction in Tomorrowland, Matterhorn Adjusted Hours, Galaxy’s Edge Activities, ETC.)

Hey there, hi there, ho there!

During this trip to Disneyland Park, we saw two Holidays collide as Halloween has come to an end, and Christmas has just begun. Join us in looking at the latest construction, Christmas decorations, waits, and more!

Disneyland Entrance

At the entrance to Disneyland, you can now see glistening snowflakes above.

The Railroad Station is also dressed up in Christmas wreaths and ornaments.

Haul out the holly!

Main Street, U.S.A

Main Street USA Christmas

When first entering Main Street, U.S.A, we were welcomed by deep red Poinsettias and Disneyland’s 60-foot tall Christmas tree. Guests lined up to snap a quick picture in front of the tree.

You could say they really “spruced” up Main Street.

Main Street jazz band

The jazz band was out today, playing some lively tunes for guests.

Central Plaza

Disneyland christmas castle

As we made our way into the Central Plaza, we saw that Sleeping Beauty Castle now has icicles forming and wreaths draping from the sides.

The lights are going to look stunning this year, especially since the castle was refurbished earlier this year.

Tomorrowland construction

From the Central Plaza, you can still view all of the construction walls for the Tomorrowland entrance construction, better known as, the “french fry” rock removal.

hub walls

This project has been going on since August. The walls have shifted a few times, but we have not seen any come down. We are hoping that this project is completed soon as crowds are going to start rolling in for the Christmas season, and this area is hard to navigate when full.

French fry rocks

It does not look too promising as there are still “french fry” rocks remaining to the left of the entrance of Tomorrowland.

mural construction

The Tomorrowland Mural Construction is also still underway. The walls next to Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear Astro-Blasters have printed scrims hanging from them.

Tomorrowland construction

Last week, high winds caused the scrim to come down. This photo reveals that most of the tile has been removed.

autopia dl

Autopia is under refurbishment from November 4th-14th.

The exit for the rooftop queue of Space Mountain is also still under construction. This land has been a construction zone for the past few months. Hopefully, we can see these walls come down soon.

Matterhorn Bobsleds is back to daily operations, as it was just running on weekends for the past few weeks. It is now open seven days a week but still only has one side being operational. This is due to part of the facade falling off, causing the closure of one of the tracks. A cast member informed us that they are planning to open the second side sometime in December, but that could change.

matterhorn wait

The wait was 65 minutes, which seems to be the average wait for this attraction recently.

The other crowds were average in Fantasyland. Peter Pan’s Flight sat at 40 minutes around 1pm and Alice in Wonderland was a 25-minute wait.

Monstro the whale could use a bath!

“It’s a Small World Holiday” opens up on November 8th.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Everything in Galaxy’s Edge looked pretty standard today.

Black Spire Outpost didn’t have too much traffic.

loth cat

Chewbacca stopped by the market to say hello to the Loth-cat.

loth cat

This is one of my favorite little creatures in Batuu. He lays in his exclosure purring and cuddling his porg.

Chewbacca was also found outside Black Spire Outpost. You can see him here playing a game called “X-wing, A-wing,” which is a Batuu version of the game “green light, red light.”

Critter Country

Over in Critter Country, Christmas is in full swing.

The little details are everything.

New Orleans Square

crowds dl

Around 2pm, crowds started to get heavy along the Rivers of America. As you can see from all the people, trying to walk over to Haunted Mansion is not an enjoyable time.

We stopped by later at night to check out the lighting package. What a sight! Each building has its own unique lights and decorations making it hard to stop looking.

indiana jones dl

Indiana Jones Adventure was down from November 4th-7th for some maintenance checks.

jungle cruise dl

Although it was starting to get more crowded in the park, Jungle Cruise was only 15 minutes.

That wraps up this photo report for Disneyland. Check back for more upcoming news, thanks for following along!
