REVIEW: Plant-etarium Street Tacos Arrive at Studio Catering Co. – Holidays 2019 at Disney California Adventure

The holidays are in full swing at Disney California Adventure and Studio Catering Co. is offering a gluten-free dish, Plant-etarium Street Tacos. These items are only available from November 8th, 2019, to January 6th, 2020.

Here’s a look at the holiday menu.

Plant-etarium Street Tacos (Brussels Sprouts, Salsa Verde, Pickled Red Onions, Apple and Pomegranate Slaw) – $7.99

Once we ordered, it took about seven minutes before we received our tacos, but they came out warm. The dish included two tacos as well as a lime slice. The colors in this dish are vibrant, and everything looked very fresh.

The main ingredient in each of the tacos is the Brussels sprouts. They were seasoned with salt and pepper, and they had a nice crunch. The Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly, and we really enjoyed that part of the taco.

The toppings on the tacos were salsa verde, pickled red onions, apple, and pomegranate slaw. Let’s just say there were a lot of flavors going on, and not necessarily in a good way. The salsa was tangy and definitely not the best taste to pair with the Brussels sprouts. The onions and apple-pomegranate slaw was tasty, but once again, why? The flavors did not blend well.

Another thing we would like to note is the size of the tacos. They are street tacos, so they are very tiny. Heres a picture of my thumb next to the taco for size comparison.

For $7.99, I don’t think these tacos are worth it. They are small and have an odd combination of flavors leading to a confusing taste. If you try this item, let us know what you think!
