As we get closer and closer to Christmas Day, we see the parks get more crowded and more festive. Today, we took a trip over to Disney California Adventure Park to see all the current park happenings.
Buena Vista Street
Today on Buena Vista Street, guests were able to write letters to the one and only Santa Claus.
The local Buena Vista Street mail runner was very enthusiastic about these holiday notes.
The back of her bike had the box the letters were being put into.
Hollywood Land
A few people filled the streets of Hollywood Land.
Today, we went to check and see if anything exciting was happening in the Animation building.
Turtle Talk with Crush had no visitors waiting to grab shell around 1 pm.
Here’s a quick look at all the times at the Animation Academy. If this is something you’re considering doing on your next trip, make sure you check the sign inside the animation building to see when you can bring your favorite character to life.
The Character Close-Up with Anna and Elsa had quite the wait today. You can meet these lovely ladies in their new “Frozen 2” outfits throughout the day.
Let the storm rage on… the line never bothered me anyway.
At Off the Page, there was an artist showcase being presented for Ann Dezendorf, who creates Disney figurines.
People sat and relaxed on the benches in front of the stage in Hollywood Land.
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue sat at a 30-minute wait around 1:30 pm.
Construction walls are still up in front of Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.
The Rocket audio-animatronic inside the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout pre-show room froze in the same spot for a bit today.
Grizzly Peak
In front of the Rushin River store in Grizzly Peak, both the bears sitting on the sides are looking quite festive.
Time to hit the slopes, I suppose.
Over in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, the Santa meet and greet is still very popular.
Treats for Santa are still available.
The line weaved all through the trails.
During your visit with Santa, you receive a small candy cane as well as some goofy elf entertainment.
The pathways were much less crowded on this side of the park.
Pixar Pier
The Pixar Pal-A-Round sat stalled for around five minutes before moving this afternoon.
Once again, surprisingly, crowds weren’t too bad for it being so close to Christmas.
Viva Navidad!
If you are looking to immerse yourself in authentic holiday music, dance, and decorations, head over to Viva Navidad! now through January 6, 2020!
Minnie Mouse met with guests this afternoon in her beautiful holiday dress.
Decorations brighten up the area and add extra life to the space.
The wait was about 15 minutes, according to the cast member.
