Earlier today while wandering around Fantasyland, we noticed a certain well-known sword was missing from its usual place outside of King Arthur Carrousel. Could Arthur have pulled Excalibur out? Or is there more to the story?
Last month, we reported on King Arthur Carrousel’s upcoming lengthy refurbishment, which is estimated to take place January 21 until May 21. With such a long closure, we can only imagine it’s getting quite the update. But the details are still under wraps.
The first thing to go for the refurbishment seems to be the Sword in the Stone.
The stone now sits swordless with a piece of duct tape covering the gap where Excalibur once sat.
For those wondering, this is quite heavy-duty tape.
