*NEW* Raspberry-Lychee-Rose Custard with Mixed Berry Compote – $6.00

This custard dessert features layers of Greek yogurt, pearled tapioca, and a mixed berry compote. Small freeze-dried pieces of strawberries are sprinkled on top to add a crunch.

We’re not the biggest Greek yogurt fans, but this dessert won us over! The Greek yogurt is well blended with a smooth, thick consistency. While the dish has mixed berries, the overwhelming flavor is raspberry with the occasional hint of blueberry. The tapioca pearls didn’t add much to the dish in terms of flavor. They served to make the dessert a bit more aesthetically pleasing by breaking up the layers. While this dessert was tasty, we won’t be rushing back to get it anytime soon. We do think it’s a great option for someone looking for a lighter, fruitier dessert.

*NEW* Oikos® Greek Yogurt California Berries Summer Pudding (Contains trace amounts of alcohol) – $5.50

This berry-filled dessert was plated neatly, topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a simple arrangement of a blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry. While not the most Instagram-worthy dessert, we appreciate when a dessert’s presentation matches the photo on the menu.

The cake consists of brioche bread soaked in a raspberry puree, but we fear it might have soaked too long. The cake was extremely moist and fell apart as soon as we cut into it.

Inside the cake is a blend of Grand Marnier-infused berries, creating a jelly-like filling. Unfortunately, this mixture made the inside of the cake watery, adding to the sogginess of the dish as a whole. While this dish may have had some strange textural things going on, we enjoyed the flavors. It’s strong fresh raspberry flavor is complimented by the yogurt whipped cream on top.

*NEW* Blue Marble Berry Hard Seltzer (Alcoholic) – $13.00

*NEW* Blue Marble Tropical Hard Seltzer (Alcoholic) – $13.00

*NEW* Ruby Citrus Sparkler (Non-Alcoholic) – $5.00

Don’t let this drink’s appearance fool you! The Ruby Citrus Sparkler seems like it would be a refreshing drink to sip on a hot day, with ingredients like grapefruit juice, agave nectar, raspberry, and mineral water. Sadly, this drink was deceiving. Upon first taste, we were overloaded with acidity and bubbles. Unfortunately, it seems like any raspberry flavor was overruled by the grapefruit. Because of the intense citrus combined with the mineral water’s carbonation, this drink had our lips puckering and our eyes watering. It’s so sour and not even in an enjoyable tart way. We can’t recommend this drink at all!

The Berry Patch Marketplace will be around from February 28th to April 21st, leaving you plenty of time to taste these fruity, fun dishes.
