REVIEW: Raspberry Cookies and Cream Bread Pudding is a Sweet and Savory Delight at Pacific Wharf Café in Disney California Adventure

It’s still wintertime at Disney California Adventure and Pacific Wharf Café has you covered with a Seasonal Bread Pudding. This bread pudding comes with Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Filling topped with Raspberry Sauce, Whipped Cream, and Cookie Crumbles. We found this to be an overall solid dessert option at the park, but not a bonafide winner based on your flavor preference.

We reviewed a variation of this dessert last year as part of the Get Your Ears On Celebration at Disney California Adventure. But anyway, on to the review!

Seasonal Bread Pudding – $5.49

That’s right, it is 10 whole cents more expensive this year, which by Disney standards isn’t too bad.

You can really see all the cookies and raspberry sauce in this angle, as well as the whipped cream and cookie crumbles.

The Seasonal Bread Pudding was actually quite good. The outside was crispy and added a crunchy texture that really added to the dessert. The inside of the bread pudding was moist and could be easily cut which is always a plus if you plan on sharing this. We enjoyed the giant chunks of Oreos in this since it adds such a sweet flavor, which you can see in this angle. Overall, we thought the bread pudding flavor wasn’t too sweet and tasted like vanilla bread mixed with chocolate flavor from the Oreo.

The whipped topping was a bit sweet in our opinion, but when you mixed everything together it balanced out the savory bread. The raspberry sauce unsurprisingly had a very strong raspberry flavor that compliments the chocolate and vanilla flavors. We liked the strong raspberry flavor, but we like raspberry and think the tart fruit flavor complimented and really added to the sweet chocolate flavor. If you do not like raspberry, this might be a pass for you, but if you like these flavors they really do go together quite well.

A flaky sweet and savory treat, the Seasonal Bread Pudding is a unique treat.

We weren’t kidding when we said it tastes the best when you mix it all together! The sweet whipped cream and the tart raspberry sauce need to be mixed in with the bread pudding itself for an optimal tasting experience.

Once again, you can pick up this treat at Pacific Wharf Café in Disney California Adventure for $5.49 plus tax.
