RUMOR: Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival 2020 To Be Extended Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Closure

If you didn’t get to complete eating your way around the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival this year, or still have credits remaining on your Sip & Savor Pass, you may still be in luck. While the Festival is only scheduled to run from February 28 through April 21, with all of Disneyland Resort currently closed and set to open, at the earliest, on April 1 (an unlikely circumstance given all of the recent updates and guidelines revolving around COVID-19), a new permit has been filed that may hint at a possible extension.

The new permit was filed on March 18, four days after Disneyland Resort closed to guests due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In it, it lists all 12 food kiosks for the festival. However, a closer look at the dates spans from the day they began being rolled out on February 24, through September 7. That September end date may well be the first sign of an extension of the festival.

While this extension has not been confirmed by Disney, we hope they do bring forward some good news! (We look forward to eating our feelings once we’re back in the parks after all this is over…) In the meantime, you can check out all of our DCA Food & Wine Festival Reviews here.

  1. This is an awesome idea! Would love the same thing to happen for Flower & Garden at Epcot. Why not add all of June and July? Allow a couple weeks between to set up for Food & Wine Festival. With all the incentives for travel this Summer, it would certainly help with the loss of revenue.
