Bob Iger Answers Twitter Request with Free Disney Parks Ponchos and Snacks for New Jersey First Aid Volunteers
Thanks to a donation by Bob Iger, some volunteer first aid workers got a bit of Disney Parks magic in their office.
Iger sent the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad (EMFAS) in Monmouth County, New Jersey a shipment Disney Parks ponchos to use as personal protective equipment and snacks to keep the crew fueled between calls.
It all started on April 29th, with a tweet from squad Chief Tracie Cuccia to Iger:
@RobertIger I am the Chief of the Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad and also a huge Disney fan. Is there anyway you could send us some ponchos to use on calls or snacks for the crews to eat between 911 calls. Thank you!
On Thursday, the squad showed off their generous donation.
@RobertIger On behalf of the Members and Officers of the Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad, words can not express our gratitude and thanks to you and the Walt Disney Company! pic.twitter.com/Yolo3rLRQR
This is far from Disney’s first donation to first responders. Previously, the company has donated snacks to Orlando-area police and masks and ponchos to hospitals. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to rip across the United States, it’s comforting to know that volunteers like the First Aid Squad are being recognized for their efforts.
