Imagineers, assemble! Chairman of Disney Parks Josh D’Amaro has just released some incredible up-close photos of the Quinjet now in place at the upcoming Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure.
D’Amaro was on a tour of Avengers Campus with President of Disneyland Resort, Ken Potrock, plus Kevin Feige and other members of Walt Disney Imagineering when, as he describes it, “the Quinjet landed right in front of us.” On it, you can see the flashy red paneling that distinguishes it as the Avengers Quinjet.
This is our first up-close look at the impressive piece of S.H.I.E.L.D. technology.
In concept art, we see the Quinjet stationed at the top of Avengers Headquarters. In the construction photos, we can see that the building is still coming together, with exposed walls requiring siding and theming elements.
Avengers Campus, originally set for a July 18 grand opening, is now delayed due to the theme park shutdown, but appears to be making speedy progress. Excelsior!
It looks great, but will it be just as lifeless and static as the ships in Galaxy’s Edge? Does it have a role to play in the land beyond instagram background?
Do you think we’ll get one here in Florida? MGM (I refuse to call it Hollywood Studios) would be the perfect place.
