VIDEO: Celebrate the Anniversary of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with Three New Animated Shorts Based on Smugglers Run, Black Spire Outpost, and Rise of the Resistance

It’s officially the first anniversary of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, having opened August 29th, 2019, and to celebrate the occasion, the Star Wars Kids channel on YouTube has released three fun, new shorts titled “Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures” featuring stories from the land.

Millennium Falcon – Smugglers Run | Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures

The first short, lasting nearly a minute and a half, features Hondo Ohnaka putting together a crew to man the Millennium Falcon as they embark on a dangerous mission. The short does a nice job featuring the different positions that guests have while actually riding Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Black Spire Outpost | Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures

Take an animated journey around Black Spire Outpost, which features an adorable Porg, Dok Ondar, and our favorite character from the land, DJ Rex, as he spins some tunes in Oga’s Cantina.

Rise of the Resistance | Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures

The last short is centered around Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Considering the technical issues that have plagued the attraction since reopening in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it may be easier to watch the animated short until they get the maintenance issues sorted out for the ride.

Which of these three shorts are your favorite? Let us know in the comments below!
