Governor Newsom States Theme Park Reopening Guidelines Will Be Announced “Soon”; No Details on Disneyland

On the heels of a statement from Disneyland Resort President Kevin Potrock, California Governor Gavin Newsom was inevitably asked during a press conference today what the status was on theme park reopenings. Once again, Newsom gave a relative non-answer, but at least one that states updates may be coming soon.

When asked about the reopening, Governor Newsom stated the following:

We will be making announcements soon as it relates to theme parks… and making additional guidelines in those space(s)… I am not here today to make that presentation…

You can view the press conference in the YouTube video embedded below:

Gov. Newsom already indicated that discussions would be taking place and progress was being made towards opening the parks, but no official announcements regarding any decisions have been made.

Though other sectors of California’s economy appear to remain open under Gov. Newsom’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy, amusement parks like Disneyland and Universal have not been cleared to takes steps towards opening. Beaches, restaurants, and other businesses are operating with COVID-19 health and safety restrictions, but Disneyland and Disney California Adventure remain closed to this day, despite the face that no outbreaks have been reported at Walt Disney World in Florida.

  1. Gavin Newsom is a dirtbag. He doesn’t care in the slightest about the lives being impacted by his refusal to let go of his absolute power. We have been running from a virus we can’t avoid. Using unsanitary cloth as protection. It’s ridiculous. All of Europe is laughing at the United States. It’s devastating for the employees of Disneyland and for the disney company as a whole. When is the United States going to get fed up and put an end to this tyranny? It’s an abuse of power.

  2. Make it easy you have the clout take it to court like Tesla ( Elon) did and override him within days there is not facts out there that can keep you closed in anyway
