Hocus Pocus Sequel Reportedly Coming to Disney+

After a 27 years, fans of Hocus Pocus may be getting new material from the Sanderson sisters. The DisInsider reported that early talks with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy suggests that a sequel may soon come to Disney+. Naturally, Disney hasn’t yet confirmed this story, however the film studio has been talking with the trio about their plan to reignited the franchise.

Midler, Parker, and Najimy have expressed in the past their desire to reprise their roles. Though the initial film did poorly at the box office, the film has built a following throughout the years. In fact, Hocus Pocus merchandise appears in stores at Disney Parks today.

Providing Disney can strike a deal with the actors, Alan Shankman will be directing the film. Disney plans to release the film on Disney+ as long as everything falls into place. If the Hocus Pocus sequel moves forward, fans will have to wait awhile for it to come to Disney+. However, after waiting 17 years, a short delay won’t deter fans from being delighted by the Sanderson sisters again.
