It was announced back in September that a total of 28,000 Cast Members would be laid off due to the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the domestic Disney Parks division.

The Walt Disney Company restored the salaries of its Senior Executives in late August, when thousands of Cast Members were still on furlough.
