Star Wars star Oscar Isaac is moving to another major Disney franchise: Marvel. The actor has reportedly been tapped to play the lead character in Moon Knight, an upcoming Disney+ series about the comic book superhero of the same name.

Moon Knight, a.k.a. Marc Spector, is a former boxer, CIA agent, and mercenary. On the brink of death, he is approached by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, who gifts him superhuman abilities. Spector then becomes the superhero Moon Knight and takes on multiple secret identities, including Steven Grant and Jake Lockley.
Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) is leading the writing team for Moon Knight. A director has not yet been chosen.
Several Marvel Disney+ shows are currently in development. WandaVision is expected to air before the end of the year. Tatiana Maslany was recently cast in She-Hulk, and Iman Vellani was cast in Ms. Marvel.
