Stage 17 in Disney California Adventure—a flex space used for private events, character meet-and-greets, and previously Who Wants to Be a Millionaire – Play It!—has reopened as the Disneyland Resort Backlot Premiere Shop, with an entrance in Downtown Disney District.

The Backlot Premiere Shop’s opening was only announced yesterday. The shop is an extended space for seasonal merchandise from World of Disney and other Disney shops, which means it’s currently hosting Halloween merchandise. Signage can be found throughout Downtown Disney pointing to the shop located all the way at the other end of the Esplanade.

Ultimately, the Backlot Premiere Shop is a second World of Disney, but it provides much more space.

There’s plenty of room for a socially distanced check-out line, not to mention about a dozen registers behind Plexiglass windows.

On the way out, seasoned Disneyland guests may recognize this sign. It used to be on the front of the building for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – Play It!

Nearby, there was also a “party box.”
