Other Walt Disney World News

Disneyland Resort
- During today’s COVID-19 briefing, California Health and Human Services Secretary, Dr. Mark Ghaly, finally gave an update on long-awaited theme park reopening guidelines, with Disneyland set to open at 25% capacity when Orange County reaches the Yellow Tier
- According to the current Tier requirements, that could mean that Disneyland won’t reopen until the end of 2020, or even sometime in 2021
- The Anaheim Mayor has spoken out against this, emphasizing the need for a Tier 3 reopening as opposed to waiting for the required Yellow “Minimal” tier

- Disneyland President Ken Potrock also released a stern statement regarding “arbitrary” theme park reopening guidelines, touting the “science-based health and safety protocols” in place at other Disney Parks
- Then later in the day, Potrock followed up his public statement with something much more personal for Cast Members, stating that Disney “will not stop working until we reopen Disneyland Resort”
- And finally, the California Attractions and Parks Association has issued a statement regarding the reopening guidelines, calling out Governor Newsom’s plans as a plot to “Keep Theme Parks Closed Indefinitely”

- The “Imagining the Magic” line is an annual staple of Tokyo Disney Resort, with new merchandise annually celebrating the Disney friends in creative outfits and settings and now this year celebrates the Disney friends in their generic outfits with lots of balloons, as well as the Three Caballeros with autumn leaves
- The Gryffindor face mask found in the other Universal Studios locations around the world has finally made its way to Universal Studios Japan
- You won’t have to board the Hogwarts Express for these Chocolate Frogs—you can now get them on a new face mask design at Universal Orlando Resort

- The Annual Passholder pop-up shop in the Germany Pavilion of EPCOT has even more Passholder-exclusive magnets available featuring Figment, the EPCOT Pavilion logos, the Hatbox Ghost and more
- We can all agree face masks are the newest accessory, and there’s no better way to show off your love of all things Disney than with these new styles now available at the Disney Store, soon to arrive at the Disney Parks
