Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom

- In our photo report, we’ve got our usual updates from the park, including the progress of TRON Lightcycle / Run and the entrance booths, but also some spooky merchandise appearing around the park
- Guests will need to wait a bit longer to take a trip on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at the Magic Kingdom as the refurbishment calendar now shows the attraction will not open until January 9, 2021 at the earliest
- With the weekend over, work has picked back up on the refurbishment of Magic Kingdom’s toll plaza for the park’s 50th anniversary as work inches past the halfway point
EPCOT
- Florida Blue has teamed up with Walt Disney World Resort as an official sponsor to provide new in-person and virtual EPCOT experiences to guests, like the upcoming “A Virtual Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival,” which is open for registration now

- Country music singer Jason Aldean shared a picture of himself and his family at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week in which none of them are wearing masks, sparking a discussion about the efficacy of mask enforcement at the parks
- Walt Disney World has just announced the long-awaited makeover of its classic entrances, which will be getting an all-new look for the resort’s 50th anniversary
- Even more devastating news of layoffs continues to surface, with thousands of Cast Members from the Entertainment, Transportation, Merchandise, and Food & Beverage departments now impacted by yet another wave of layoff emails, part of the already-announced 28,000 Cast Member layoffs affecting domestic Disney Parks employees
Disneyland Resort
- Ahead of the reopening of Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure as a shopping and dining destination, over 200 Cast Members from Workers United Local 50 union will be recalled back to work
Tokyo Disney Resort

- Tokyo Disneyland celebrates the opening of its new attractions, The Happy Ride with Baymax and The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, with some new themed foods coming to the park on November 2
- The Tokyo Disney Resort app has a nifty feature that allows visitors with a Japanese address to shop for goods while in the park, and now the Oriental Land Company is opening that feature to all Japanese residents to shop from home from November 1, 2020 through March 31st, 2021
Disneyland Paris
- After debuting on October 6 to a slew of technical issues, and then suspending service on October 17, Disneyland Paris will be re-introducing their new Standby Pass system to the parks starting Tuesday, October 27

- Deck yourself out in all of the latest Christmas fashions with the new Mickey Mouse Holiday Loungefly and fuzzy sherpa Crocs, now available at shopDisney
- We’ve gathered every piece of new Christmas Holiday merchandise from across Walt Disney World into one place, and you can see it all here
- Among the plethora of new Christmas merchandise now available at Walt Disney World is a Christmas tree music box featuring classic park icons that we found at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Carry some holiday cheer around with you or decorate your home with these new holiday designs for MagicBands, Phone Cases and Magnets from MaDe kiosks at Walt Disney World
- We discovered a new merchandise display at Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge featuring pin and patch sets, and shirts, themed to the workshop

- A new retro popcorn bucket celebrating the 65th anniversary of Disneyland is now available in Downtown Disney District
- Light up your life (and your drinks) with this new diamond shaped glow cube celebrating the 65th anniversary of Disneyland Resort
- We decided to check out the Star Wars Trading Post on the West Coast for any new items, and we’ve found a smuggler’s bounty of goods straight from Black Spire Outpost—from mugs, to apparel, to Annual Passholder exclusive items
- We noticed this new Peppermint Candy Minnie Mouse Loungefly backpack at Downtown Disney District and couldn’t wait to share the news with you
- This Black Widow dress and jacket from Her Universe has swooped into The Disney Dress Shop to spread a bit of her edgy spirit around
- Star Wars fans will be happy that Magic 8-Ball versions of Yoda and Darth Vader Kyber Crystals—now repackaged as “Force Guidance Crystals”—have arrived at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- A new Baby Yoda (“The Child”) mini backpack and wristlet by Loungefly are now available at Walt Disney World—just in time for Mando Monday

- Adventures by Disney has announced that all trips are now suspended through Jan. 31, 2021 due to COVID-19, lengthening the previous cancellation period that had suspended trips through the end of 2020
