Magic Kingdom

• Come along on our photo tour of the Magic Kingdom as we try to soak up the last few days of Mickey pumpkins, Halloween Cavalcades, and special seasonal treats, and find some fun new things along the way
• Walt Disney World has been preparing for Christmas all month, and now there are even more trees awaiting the holiday season behind Magic Kingdom
• There’s some sweet news for caramel lovers at Walt Disney World: Werther’s Original caramel popcorn is now available outside EPCOT, as we found it in the Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom

EPCOT

• Spice Road Table in EPCOT’s Morocco Pavilion will no longer be accommodating dining reservations beginning December 10, 2020, in a move shortly following the news that Disney itself would be taking over all operations of the Morocco Pavilion
• The Desserts & Champagne booth at the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is known for its liquid nitro cake pops and for Halloween, the booth is offering a special spooky version of the treat so we got our own to taste test

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• We took a stroll through Disney’s Hollywood Studios to check out some of the Christmas decor that’s been erected throughout the park

Other Walt Disney World News

• Work has begun on giving the Walt Disney World entrances a makeover in time for the resort’s 50th anniversary next year, as it receives a royal blue update
• Bettina Buckley, Vice President of Walt Disney World Resort Live Entertainment, has released a statement regarding mass layoffs in the Entertainment division at Walt Disney World, in response to public outcry due to the gutting of shows and performers across the theme parks and resorts
• Park hours have just been posted for the Walt Disney World theme parks through Saturday, January 16, 2021 and park hours have been extended for November 13-15 with an extra hour each morning in the parks
• A new notice of layoffs indicates that 11,350 more union employees of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts will be terminated, over 10,000 of whom are Walt Disney World Cast Members, bringing the resort’s total number of layoffs to over 18,000
• ABC has announced their upcoming Disney holiday specials for November and December, including the “reimagined” Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Special and Disney Holiday Singalong

• These new Candy Corn Cupcake, Witches Hat, and Ghostly Brownie have materialized just in time for Halloween and are sure to put you in the SPIRIT of the season
• A new ad has been released from the Joe Biden campaign in which a 15-year Cast Member who was recently laid off shares her feelings on the separation and how better leadership in Washington during the pandemic could have avoided it

Disneyland Resort

• The horses and Cast Members of Circle-D Ranch at Disneyland Resort are ready for Halloween as Disney Parks Blog shared photos of the Circle-D horses dressed up in costumes designed by their human handlers
• With the domestic Disney Parks in the process of laying off 28,000 workers, another wave of layoff emails are expected to go out to Disneyland Cast Members on Sunday totaling roughly 10,000 employees to be laid off from the Disneyland Resort parks, hotels and stores in Anaheim

Tokyo Disney Resort

• The Oriental Land Company held its quarterly earnings call on October 29th, and released their still fairly dismal second quarter results

Disneyland Paris

• Disneyland Paris Cast Members have received an email from COO Daniel Delcourt regarding the future (or lack thereof) of several entertainment offerings—mirroring the mass entertainment cutbacks currently taking place at Walt Disney World

New Merchandise

• As we made our way around Walt Disney World today, we found several new Christmas items, including apparel and decor
• The newest addition to the Wishes Come True Blue collection is a MagicBand, now available at Walt Disney World Resort

The Walt Disney Company

• Disney Research Hub has released a video introducing an animatronic with realistic and interactive eye movements and it is somewhat terrifying but technologically super cool

Disney Cruise Line

• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced their intent to allow the current no-sail order to expire on October 31, 2020 and establishing a framework for passenger cruises to eventually resume safely

Universal Studios

Universal Orlando Resort

• The rumor mill is buzzing with talk of Beetlejuice making a surprise appearance at the tail end of this year’s Halloween season, and now it appears that his maze may open this weekend at Universal Orlando Resort
• The magic of the holiday season continues to make its way across Universal’s Islands of Adventure with our first look at décor in The Lost Continent, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, Jurassic Park, Toon Lagoon, and Marvel Super Hero Island, as well as a look at some of their intricately-themed Christmas Trees found around the park

WDW News Today

• Starting tonight, you can find WDWNT The RPG on its new home of WDWNT Entertainment along with all your favorite entertainment programs, including Geekly Kingdom, Deep In The Plus, Cosmic Reid Live, and many more
