Guests will soon be frequenting Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort to get in their holiday shopping and dining, and now, they’ll have an extra hour to do so, with Downtown Disney District now open at 9:00 AM daily, as opposed to the usual 10:00 AM opening time.

Downtown Disney District, which now extends into Buena Vista Street as part of its full slate of shopping and dining offerings, will be open from 9:00 AM through 9:00 PM through January 2, with some exceptions.

Downtown Disney District will be closing early at 8:00 PM on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, so don’t expect to linger till midnight on NYE. On Christmas Day, Downtown Disney will open an hour later at 10:00 AM, giving families plenty of time to open presents from Santa and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Of course, wait times are expected to increase for the holidays, so plan ahead or be ready to join many a virtual queue.
