Magic Kingdom
- Walt Disney World has filed multiple permits for “general construction” on Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom ahead of the park’s 50th anniversary celebration
EPCOT
- Imagineer Zach Riddley has given a first look at the all-new main entrance fountain at EPCOT and you can check out some incredible daytime and nighttime glamour shots, as well as some behind-the-scenes action, right here
- WDWNT was also on the scene for a first look at the EPCOT entrance fountain when it was unveiled to guests today, and we have some great photos and video for you
- We also stopped by later in the evening to get some more photos and video to see the new Lucite pylons lit up in all their glory at night
- If you want to see the latest addition to EPCOT, you’ll have to keep your eyes to the ground as these new manhole covers have arrived at the park, featuring the re-imagined park logo and five-ringed icon on a background resembling the tiles on Spaceship Earth
- Crowd levels have gone down at Walt Disney World recently, and we are enjoying the momentary additional elbow room while we can so we can find lots of fun, new things at the park for our latest photo tout of EPCOT
Disney Springs
- A couple of days ago, a gargoyle arrived at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs, and the bakery teased their upcoming opening, and now, we know when the doors to this rustic, themed cookie locale will be soft opening at Disney Springs — tomorrow
- Much like dough in the oven, anticipation is rising for the opening of Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs, but if you can’t wait, we have a taste of their tantalizing menu
- City Works Eatery & Pour House at Disney Springs is offering “Brew Year’s Eve” from December 24th-31st, featuring two special menu items for the occasion
- After months of construction and painting, the temporary fence came down earlier this month around the site of Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew at Disney Springs and thanks to some uncovered windows, we can now take a peek inside
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- According to an advisory on the Walt Disney World website, the waterslide at Paddock Pool in Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will be closing for refurbishment soon
Other Walt Disney World News
- Disney Parks has a special surprise for guests with the My Disney Experience and/or Disneyland app — if you open up the “Photos” section of each app, you’ll find four Walt Disney World and four Disneyland themed holiday phone wallpapers
- Walt Disney World has just officially announced that Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will be reopening March 7, 2021
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Since the Oriental Land Company abolished attraction/admission-only tickets in 2001, Tokyo Disney Resort has levied a standard, flat admission fee for all Guests visiting the two parks, but those days are no more, as Tokyo Disney Resort will be introducing a variably-priced ticketing system starting on March 20, 2021
- As the Oriental Land Company explores additional ways to increase revenue from Guests visiting Tokyo Disney Resort, it seems they will be piloting a new upcharge service—early entry to the Disney Parks for Hotel Guests
New Merchandise
- The Darksaber, as seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and The Mandalorian, is the latest in Hasbro’s Force FX Elite series of lightsabers, and it’s is now available for pre-order to arrive in summer of 2021
- With the reopening of Plume et Palette in the France Pavilion of EPCOT, we can finally get a closer look at the new “Bonjour Belle” merchandise that we previously spotted through a window
- If you’ve been collecting all of this year’s holiday pins, then Walt Disney World now has the perfect limited edition “I Collect” pin for you, plus three new The Aristocats pins celebrating the film’s 50th anniversary
- Guests who use an iPhone 12 Pro Max can now create a personalized phone case at MaDe kiosks in Walt Disney World

- Director Peter Jackson has revealed a sneak peek of Disney’s upcoming documentary, The Beatles: Get Back, coming to theaters August 27th, 2021, with the debut of the preview on TheBeatles.com and Disney+

- Alan Bergman is now the sole chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, taking over the position from Alan Horn, as the most recent of many moves in The Walt Disney Company’s major restructuring
