Magic Kingdom
- Throughout the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover’s refurbishment, ride vehicles were spread throughout the length of the attraction’s track, and we noticed Cast Members testing ride vehicles just over a week ago and then today, ride vehicles were seen reconnected as a full train
- From attractions to restaurants and even aboard Monorails, plexiglass dividers are everywhere when you visit Walt Disney World these days, and now those dividers have made their way outside the monorail to the platform itself, with new plexiglass barriers to the divide the queue and boarding platform for the Express Monorail at the Transportation and Ticket Center
- The year may be coming to an end, but work on TRON Lightcycle / Run’s illuminated canopy is far from done and today, workers were on site to help send 2020 off strong with more progress at the upcoming Magic Kingdom attraction
EPCOT
- With Park Hopping becoming an option again at the Walt Disney World theme parks for 2021, park-to-park transportation will resume aboard resort transportation fleets across property, however one popular method of transportation will remain unavailable: the EPCOT Monorail

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has become the latest attraction to resume seating every row, allowing for greater guest capacity and shorter wait times

- Guests at Walt Disney World Resort hotels will have a tasty way to ring in 2021 with hotel quick-service locations offering a special sparkling wine and chocolate truffles package for New Year’s Eve

- If you’re looking to spend New Year’s Eve somewhere special, it’s likely not going to be at a Walt Disney World theme park because all four parks are fully booked for Park Pass reservations on December 31st

- Shanghai Disney Resort has announced that they are entering a new alliance with Skechers to create a special “Shi-Kechers” branding exclusively for the upcoming animal-themed Zootopia land

- D23 has revealed their gifts for 2021 Gold Members, including a replica lunchbox, vintage pins, unique vinyl record, and more
- The monthly Disney Parks pin collections have been revealed for 2021, and there’s plenty to collect at both Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort
- In a collaboration between iconic brands, Disney has partnered with Gucci on The Disney x Gucci Donald Duck Collection, featuring more than 50 items
Entertainment and Media
- A well-known Disney voice actor, Tom Kane, has suffered a stroke which may impact his voiceover career
Disney+
- With a pandemic keeping many movie theaters closed, Disney+ saw a significant bump in app downloads over the Christmas holiday as the streaming service had 2.3 million downloads worldwide, an increase of 28% from the previous weekend, as reported by market research firm Sensor Tower
