Magic Kingdom
- We spent the last day of 2020 at the Magic Kingdom, and we found some things, and some special moments, that we’d like to share with you in our last photo report of the year
- And we had so much fun sending the year off at Magic Kingdom that we came back the next day to start 2021 off right with our first photo report of the year
EPCOT
- With the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure imminent, it seems Disney has prepared a new background music loop for the France Pavilion in EPCOT that we heard coming from the pavilion’s expansion when we visited recently
- The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is returning to the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, which begins January 8, which invites guests to “take a walk on the delicious side” of the festival and purchase five food items to collect stamps and receive a special final treat
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Yesterday, January 1, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios did not open due to technical difficulties and as of 1:23 PM today, January 2, the attraction is still down and guests are being turned away at the entrance
- The Fantasmic! nighttime spectacular has not been available since Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopened but the map of Disney’s Hollywood Studios inside the Disney World app has now been updated to include a detailed Sorcerer Mickey at the Fantasmic! stage
Disney Springs
- Gideon’s Bakehouse has announced a temporary closure of their Disney Springs location, effective this evening
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin has announced its eleventh Food & Wine Classic, a two-day event taking place on the causeway between the resorts on October 29–30, 2021
New Merchandise
- If you’re looking for a Disney-themed outfit for your newborn, Walt Disney World has four new onesies perfect for any baby
- A new Mad Tea Party folding fan from the Emporium in Magic Kingdom would make a delightful unbirthday gift for any Alice in Wonderland and Mad Tea Party fans
- We found some cool new Sorcerer Mickey and Remy designs at the MaDe kiosks inside Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. at the Magic Kingdom today
- We found this new yellow Spirit Jersey inside both Mickey’s of Hollywood and Sunset Club Couture at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that features the colorful retro version of the Walt Disney World logo
- And for Walt Disney World fans looking to match their footwear and shirt, you’re in luck because we found some new Crocs that are a perfect match to the yellow Walt Disney World Sprit Jersey mentioned above
- We found a truly epic amount of new merchandise at the Disneyland Resort featuring Disney’s most famous Cats and Dogs, including shirts, water bottles, photo frames and more for humans, and our furry friends also received some brand new merch including collars, leashes, toys and jackets
Entertainment and Media
- The virtual curtain raised on “Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical” on January 1 and by the end of the performance, the show had raised over $1 million for The Actors Fund
- Disney Television Studios has extended its winter hiatus by one week, to resume January 18 rather than the scheduled January 11, due to a surge in COVID-19 infections and deaths in Los Angeles County
