The other day, it was announced that Disneyland has unveiled plans for a theme park expansion project along with possible new retail stores, hotels, and parking. In those plans, the often fan-requested theme park recreation of Wakanda from Marvel’s Black Panther seems to be present.
With many new lands and attractions coming to Tokyo DisneySea possibly being erected at the future of Disneyland Park, including Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to think that something unique may be created to make the expansion feel special.
A closer look at the possibilities map hints that something Marvel-ous may come to the new expansion as part of Disney California Adventure.
The mountainous façade in the concept map is reminiscent of scenes from the film, showing the terrain of Wakanda complete with a large structure that seems to be Mount Bashenga. The blue glow is also something present on the landmark in the film.
Specifics have not been announced for this project, but it seems Disney is taking the project seriously for future development.

The land directly to the right of it looks like Pandora- The World of Avatar. I dunno if that land fits into either DCA or Disneyland Park. I hope Disney is wise about choosing properties that make relative sense in their respective parks

Yeah, that’s less clear.
Of course, this is just concept art labeled “for illustrative purposes only” and a lot can change between now and when/if Anaheim provides approval for the expansion. But this would be very cool if it happens, and the possibility certainly exists..
The thing that gets me is Disney saying that this isn’t a third gate — so would any attractions be separately ticketed (ie. will they be bringing back A-E tickets for these attractions, or just charge a fee to ride)?
I like the concept; I just worry about the loss of parking (don’t get me wrong — an actual entertainment destination beats a parking lot, but if there will be more visitors, they’re going to need to build more parking somewhere).Mickey & Friends and the Toy Story lot won’t be able to handle the demand.
