FastPass, MaxPass, Magic Morning, and Extra Magic Hour Will Be Suspended When Disneyland Reopens

Though there is no official opening date announced yet, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are expected to reopen in late April. The parks may even open at a higher capacity than expected thanks to California’s vaccination numbers. But the park experience certainly won’t be back to normal, with masks and physical distancing still required. Disneyland has also just announced that certain experiences will be suspended when the parks reopen.

The Disneyland Resort website has the following information:

As a result of the impact of COVID-19 on operations, FastPass and Disney MaxPass services are suspended for the time being and are not available for purchase or use. We will share future updates at a later date.

Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hour offerings will be suspended upon reopening of our hotels and theme parks as we plan to manage capacity. We will share any updates on these offerings at a later date.

At this time, we do not have any additional details to share about the reopening of the Disneyland Resort. We look forward to providing updates as they become available.

FastPass+, Early Morning Magic, and Extra Magic Hours have all been suspended at Walt Disney World theme parks since they reopened last summer, so it’s no surprise the same would happen at Disneyland Resort.

Disney California Adventure is about to reopen some shopping and dining for the specially ticketed “A Touch of Disney” event. Tickets have been made available and sold out through April 19. The parks would hopefully reopen soon after this event has wrapped.
