Magic Kingdom
- The second piece of 50th anniversary decoration has been added to Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom
- As we previously reported it would, the Swiss Family Treehouse at the Magic Kingdom has closed for refurbishment
- The Spring Rolls cart at Adventureland in Magic Kingdom has reopened for spring break and on our recent visit, we were not only delighted to get ourselves some spring rolls but also intrigued when we learned that the cheeseburger spring rolls now come with a “secret sauce”
EPCOT
- One of the Harmonious nighttime spectacular barges was recently testing its fountains at EPCOT and Twitter user @DisneyXC caught a glimpse of the test, sharing two videos of the barge’s water and lighting effects operating in World Showcase Lagoon
- Innoventions West is seemingly just days away from a complete demolition and as of this morning, the final piece of the breezeway that connected the area behind Spaceship Earth to Future World West has been removed
- Earlier this week, we saw planters surrounding a patch of pavement beneath Spaceship Earth at EPCOT and as of today, the planters are now gone, revealing the new grey pavement that is slowly replacing the old red pavement
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- A brand new dessert is available at Backlot Express in Disney’s Hollywood Studios — an adorable paint can confetti cake
- A brand new Hazelnut Crunch Cannoli can be found at the PizzeRizzo restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we have your full review right here
- If you’re in the mood for something sweet while strolling down Sunset Boulevard, look no further than the Sunset Ranch Market and their new Strawberry Shortcake Verrine or Snacking Sandwich Cookie
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- We reported back in February that the giant character pages in front of Disney’s Art of Animation resort were under refurbishment and today, the giant sketch pages are restored while the jellyfish over at the Big Blue Pool are receiving a fresh coat of paint
Other Walt Disney World News
- Walt Disney World has extended hours at all four theme parks for the final few days of March and the first few days of April
- As we enter spring break for most of Florida, Park Pass Reservations for all four Walt Disney World theme parks are fully booked for all guests from today March 12 through Saturday, March 20
Disneyland Resort
- Though there is no official opening date announced yet, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are expected to reopen in late April with masks and physical distancing still required, and in addition, Disneyland has just announced that FastPass, MaxPass, Magic Morning, and Extra Magic Hour will be suspended when the parks reopen
- According to KTLA, California has officially met its target of administering at least 2 million COVID-19 vaccinations to the most high-risk parts of the community, which moves select counties into the red tier and allows for restaurants to resume indoor operations as of Monday in LA and Orange Counties
- Preparation has begun for “A Touch of Disney”, the ticketed event coming to Disney California Adventure this month, with the first banners hung from lampposts throughout Buena Vista Street and more
Disneyland Paris
- Due to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in France and continuing travel restrictions across Europe in general, Disneyland Paris announced today that the resort will not open as planned on April 2nd, with no announcement as of yet on a target reopening date
New Merchandise
- A brand new Her Universe collection is now available at Walt Disney World, inspired by the transportation in and around the Disney Parks
- A new limited edition Annual Passholder-exclusive MagicBand for the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is now available at Walt Disney World
- The Orange Bird is flying all over EPCOT for the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and most recently landed on this adorable new face mask by Spirit Jersey
- After crashing into Disney Parks for the latest addition to the Stitch Crashes Disney collection, we’ve now found Experiment 626 on a “Weird But Cute” cap at Disneyland Resort
Entertainment & Media
- Murphy’s Multiverse has apparently leaked new release dates for several MCU movies that are slated for Marvel Studios’ Phase 4
WDW News Today
- In this week’s edition of Timekeeping, we go back to 1985 for EPCOT Center’s “Mistake on the Lake,” the beginnings of Disney MGM Studios, and more
- Our first three “Cast Members Are The Magic” t-shirts were so popular, they sold out the same days they dropped and now the tee is back for one final round in “Animal Kingdom green” on the Carousel of Products
