According to Cast Members at the Disneyland Hotel, the hotel grounds will be open to all guests during the day before being restricted to hotel guests only at night. New gates with scan-in entry are being constructed around the hotel property.

We previously saw temporary fencing be erected around Disneyland Hotel, and we now know this is while the scan-in gates are constructed.

The Cast Members said the hotel grounds would likely be open during Disneyland and Disney California Adventure park hours, but they were just speculating as to what the open access hours might be.

The scan-in gates will allow registered hotel guests to get inside at night, after Disneyland Hotel closes to everyone else.

The Disneyland Hotel does not currently have a reopening date, but this preparation is a good sign that we might be back inside soon. Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa is reopening April 29, and the theme parks are reopening April 30.

  1. That’s very interesting. Why would a non-guest want to be on the hotel grounds anyway if the parks are closed? I’d imagine most stuff would be closed and the pools already required a card for entry, I believe. Wonder if there was an issue of some sort with people “crashing” in public areas.
