Magic Kingdom

- In our photo report, we find that the Cinderella Castle Stage construction walls have been removed, the barrel bridge reopens, a new “Raspberry” open edition MagicBand, and more
- After the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover didn’t reopen on Saturday, we’ve been keeping a close eye on it today and Cast Members even told us it would probably open “around noon” and saw some Cast Members being evacuated as part of a test for the attraction
- It’s the last day of the PeopleMover refurb, Dapper Day is in full swing, new Loungefly ID holders are released, and more in our photo report
- After a tumultuous year without the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, the fan-favorite attraction has finally reopened so come along as we once again embark on a tour of Tomorrowland aboard this mass transit system of the future
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

- Progress on the new Monorail station, porte-cochère, and the bridge/walkway to the Great Ceremonial House has been making great strides lately at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and now some additional roof framing has been added the new Monorail station
Other Walt Disney World News

- Walt Disney World Resort will be implementing a new policy in order to free up some Theme Park Reservations that may be held on Guests’ accounts without valid admission
- After sharing information on their solar facilities around the world, Disney Parks has posted a video tour of their 270-acre Walt Disney World solar farm where energy is harnessed from the sun to help power the resort, all while creating habitats for the bees, butterflies, and bugs that pollinate the world outside of it
- We previously shared that current and furloughed Cast Members at Walt Disney World will be receiving a complimentary one-night resort stay, and now we’ve learned that resort hotels will be automatically assigned as a term of the offer
Disneyland Resort

- A “Welcome Back!” banner has been erected along Disneyland Resort’s closed tram route ahead of the theme parks reopening
- Legacy Passholders will be able to participate in an exclusive Star Wars “May the 4th” Shopping Reservation event coming to Disneyland Resort
New Merchandise

- These days, style and convenience go hand-in-hand and while we found “it’s a small world” and Mouseketeer Disney Park Loungefly ID lanyards and card holders at Disneyland Resort previously, these items have just arrived at Walt Disney World
- A new collection of stylish Kate Spade New York bags inspired by Minnie Mouse is now available at Downtown Disney District
Entertainment and Media

- As we learned a week ago, American Idol is returning to Walt Disney World for “Disney Night” wherein contestants perform different classic Disney songs and ABC has released the first promo for the episode, which will air on Sunday, May 2nd
- 20th Century Studios has released the first teaser trailer for West Side Story, which is scheduled to release in U.S. theaters on December 10, 2021
- After winning the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature in February, Pixar’s Soul has now won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature
