California Meets Health Metrics for Full Reopening on June 15

California has met the necessary health metrics to fully reopen as planned on June 15. This means there will be no physical distancing and no capacity limitations. Masking in the state will be aligned with the CDC guidelines.

For outdoor events with more than 10,000 people, California health officials recommend the venue have a system of verifying vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. Those who aren’t vaccinated or don’t show a negative result would be allowed to enter if they wear a mask.

Indoor locations with 5,000 people or more are to implement a similar verification system. However, those who aren’t vaccinated or don’t have a negative result would not be allowed to enter.

Travel restrictions will be lifted and remain in line with CDC recommendations in the future.

Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood have not yet made any announcements regarding changes in physical distancing, capacity, or masking.
