Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance May Not Open Tomorrow Either at Disneyland

More bad news for Disneyland visitors hoping to score a boarding group for the new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction in Galaxy’s Edge: Cast Members in the park are informing guests that the ride may not open tomorrow either.

Earlier we reported that the ride would not be open at all today.

The complex attraction broke down last night for almost 3 hours, and unfortunately workers have still not been able to successfully repair the ride since.

Have you experienced this ride breaking down on you during your visit to the park? Share your story in the comments below. Keep checking DLNT for more updates.

  1. During both of my visits the ride had broken down like 2 times each day, but an hour or so later it would be functioning. sucks that this is happening tho!

  2. Why is that thing breaking down so much? How are they keeping it running to start with? Disney needs to simplify the ride, it’s too complicated.

  3. The ride broke down three times on 05-26-21 it was a hot mess. It is still an amazing attraction, but it makes you wonder, and I’m sure the engineers have a similar thought; how does a company, that has every resource imaginable at their disposal, continue to have hours on end issues on a brand new ride?

My personal opinion, for every amount of time that a guest is walking over there, standing in line, walking back after the ride breaks down, is time that the guest isn’t spending money elsewhere.

  4. We were boarding group 14 at Disney World yesterday and it broke down while we were on it about 3/4 the way through. We waited about 10 minutes for a CM to come get us and we walked out. Got to see a lot of the ride behind the scenes and backstage. It was very cool actually. They gave us a recovery pass and we got right back on when the ride came back up.

  5. The single most underwhelming attraction I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. What has happened to Disney?

  6. I went on January 2020 was able to get a boarding pass, thought we were going to get on it, only to find out that the ride broke down twice. No announcement, had to ask a cast member what was going on because we were supposed to get on it. That’s how we found out the ride stopped working.

  7. I was able to go on “Rise of the Resistance” twice last summer. But the ride kept breaking down. The first time, we were stuck in the initial room with Rey’s projection, but the door didn’t open until like 20 min. later. The second time was the funniest because our car stopped right in front of Kylo Ren stating there was no escape for our type of rebel scum and one of the other riders in the car said “apparently there IS an escape…”🤣
