Magic Kingdom

- After the interactive game closed on January 24th, we’ve seen Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom portals being removed in phases and today we noticed that Main Street U.S.A. has been wiped clean of its game plaques
- We found that the heavy equipment had been removed from around Cinderella Castle, new Marvel Alex and Ani bracelets, new Up balloon, and more in our photo report
EPCOT

- In our photo report, we discovered the Gelateria Toscana marquee, new Rainbow Collection pins, Designer Denim Ears, a smiling princess, and more
- Landscaping has been installed at Gelateria Toscana, the Three Caballeros animatronics have been missing for three months, additional Rainbow Disney Collection pins, and more discussed in our photo report
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

- Last month, it was announced that “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” will debut in mid-May at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and now preparations for a distanced queue are underway for the modified return of the stage show at the Harambe Theatre
Disney Springs

- May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and to honor the talents, cultures, and contributions of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, Disney Springs will have unique and special offerings this month
- To celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, locations around Disney Springs are offering special treats and as a favorite spot for dessert, Amorette’s Patisserie has a Mulan petit cake and jasmine tea cream tart for a limited time
- Each month, Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs has a different limited edition cookie and after offering a Florida-Inspired Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookie last month, the special cookie for the month of May combines peanut butter and espresso, two of the bakehouse’s famous flavors
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

- Valet parking did not return with Walt Disney World Resort hotels when they reopened but the service continued to be available for Guests with disabilities who may require parking assistance; however, there is now a timeline for the full-service valet to return to the resort hotels
Other Walt Disney World News

- The Florida Department of Health announced a state surgeon general public health advisory that made changes to earlier guidance on COVID-19 safety practices in the state and most notably, the advisory rescinds advising fully vaccinated individuals to wear face coverings
Disneyland Resort

- It wouldn’t be a trip to Disneyland without a stroll down Main Street, U.S.A., and we came across some friends we haven’t seen for a long time as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto were out and about outside the Disneyland Railroad Main Street Station
- For the first time in over a year, Disneyland has opened to guests, and a few friends from the Hundred Acre Wood and Wonderland decided to say hello—Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger made a surprise appearance near “it’s a small world” in Fantasyland, followed by some more familiar characters
- Just a spoonful of sugar will help bring back the magic here at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe at Disneyland Park, with a new cupcake to celebrate the resort’s reopening

- We recently shared first-look images and video of MARVEL Avengers Campus, opening at Disney California Adventure on June 4th, and today, Disney provided a virtual tour with some of the details Guests may come across when visiting different addresses
- Take a spin with us on King Arthur Carrousel as the Fantasyland icon reopened with Disneyland on Friday after it originally closed for refurbishment beginning in January 2020
- With the reopening of Disneyland comes the reopening of dining locations and we were excited to return to one of our favorites, Café Orleans in New Orleans Square, as the casual dining location features a limited selection of New Orleans-influenced entrées, including the famous Monte Cristo sandwich

- Toy Story Alien “Little Green Men” souvenir sippers have just been dropped into Disneyland Park by the claw!
- A new Dooney & Bourke bag collection featuring characters and motifs from Moana will arrive at Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs this week

- Looking to customize your backpack or clothing for the parks? Two new sets of removable patches from the “PatcheD” collection have been spotted in MouseGear at EPCOT
- A new lightweight Spirit Jersey has debuted at Disneyland Park featuring Stitch from Lilo & Stitch on an acid-wash design
The Walt Disney Company

- When we reported on the free-roaming Groot animatronic, we mentioned that Imagineers were working on eyes that will be able to recognize guests and now a Disney patent application published April 29, 2021 explains one way Imagineers could add natural eye contact and facial recognition to animatronic figures
