Magic Kingdom
- The iconic themed gear pavement that was laid in 1994 for New Tomorrowland may have finally met its demise.
- It seems Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor may soon be reopening in Tomorrowland as the sign outside the show’s entrance was recently uncovered, and now the queue has been restored.
- It would seem that the refurbishment of Cool Ship and Cool Scanner in Magic Kingdom is now complete.
- A new Disney Parks collection Funko Pop! vinyl figure featuring the Treasure Skeleton from Pirates of the Caribbean has sailed into the Magic Kingdom.
- Electrical wiring for lighting has begun on TRON Lightcycle / Run Canopy at Magic Kingdom
EPCOT
- Disney confirmed today what we all assumed: the new Club Cool will have Beverly.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Star Wars fans will want to pick up the newest Legacy Lightsaber available at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge based on Rey’s final lightsaber.
- After failing to open with the park last summer, Sunset Ranch Pins and Souvenirs has reopened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Fairfax Fare has finally reopened with a NEW Hot Dog Salad, Pretzel Dog, BTLA Dog, and more that we reviewed today.
- Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a new backpack and matching smartphone case.
- It’s the first time in forever that we’ve seen Frozen Fractal Gifts open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Orange County Mayor Jerry Demmings announced today that the county has nearly reached the 50% vaccination rate threshold that would allow the current mask mandate to be lifted when outdoors.
- With Disney College Program finally returning, participants will be able to live in brand-new housing, and will have the option to live in gender-neutral housing.
- More support poles beneath the Transportation and Ticket Center’s awnings have been painted blue overnight.
Disneyland Resort
- Reopening dates (and reservation dates) have been announced for Blue Bayou, Napa Rose, and more returning restaurants at Disneyland Resort.
- Disneyland will begin testing a virtual queue for Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye starting Tuesday, May 11th.
- Today, Disney released the new menu for Blue Bayou Restaurant at Disneyland Park that now includes alcoholic beverages.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- From May 17th through at least May 31st, both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will operate from 10am to 7pm daily
- Select Easter-themed items featuring the Usatamas and Usapiyos from Usatama on the Run! and Tip-Top Easter respectively will be available starting May 12th.
Shanghai Disneyland
- The Shanghai Disney Resort Instagram shared photos of some new art on the construction walls surrounding the upcoming Zootopia Land.
