We bring you a lot of stories every single day. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up. So in case you missed anything from our feed, we have rounded up all our stories in one place to get the news at a glance. Here is your Daily Recap for Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
- The attractions of Storybook Circus at Magic Kingdom are being refurbished ahead of the park’s 50th anniversary later this year, and with the refurbishment of the engine of Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station now complete, work continues on the elephant car of the train
EPCOT

- According to guests in the EPCOT area resort hotels, the park could be heard testing the short-lived, interim fireworks spectacular “EPCOT Forever” overnight, and with Harmonious not ready to perform until later this year (at the earliest), the temporary show could return, albeit altered, to perform on World Showcase Lagoon
- MouseGear is becoming the “Creations Shop” at EPCOT, and crew members have been hard at work bringing the new version of the store to life — much of the exterior is currently covered in scaffolding as construction continues
- We had a perfectly pleasant day at EPCOT, that makes for a day where characters are out in abundance and we get a good look at the progress of the projects around the park in this photo report

- Starbucks at EPCOT—which is currently at the temporary Traveler’s Café stand—has a new Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino Blended Beverage
Disney Springs
- After the closure and demolition of Bongos at Disney Springs, Beatrix Health Foods was set to take over the lot and although Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants says differently, it seems the construction of Beatrix has been canceled and the property is being turned into a green space as signs advertising Beatrix have now been removed from construction walls at the site
- With all the preparation for Walt Disney World’s 50th going on, the Cirque Du Soleil “tented” building is getting a new coat of paint before debuting their new show “Drawn to Life” this fall
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- A “wooden” structure has been staged at the new porte-cochère of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which is being constructed in front of the Monorail station
Other Walt Disney World News

- Since Walt Disney World reopened last July, the lids of trash cans have been propped open so guests didn’t have to touch the can when throwing something out and almost every trash can also had a decal explaining some of the health and safety guidelines in place at the theme parks, but it seems now that the decals are being removed and the lids are no longer being propped open
- EPCOT/World Center Drive’s entrance to Walt Disney World is the last one to be reimagined for the resort’s 50th anniversary later this year and while the welcome sign and Minnie Mouse marquee are complete, work continues on the archway and Mickey marquee
