Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom

- Though we’ve been tracking exterior construction of TRON Lightcycle / Run for several months, the project was significantly delayed due to COVID-19 but it seems interior construction has finally resumed once again
- Outside the TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction building, we can see that the steel pieces running across the white frame of the canopy now have LED bars of light installed underneath them, which will come on as the roller coaster trains zoom past
- Even more of the 1994 New Tomorrowland gear pavement has been removed and replaced in Magic Kingdom
- Repainting continues at the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, which joins the long list of refurbishment projects around the Magic Kingdom in anticipation of the park’s 50th anniversary this fall
EPCOT

- With masks no longer required outdoors at Walt Disney World, Relaxation Stations are now being taken down throughout the theme parks, and the Relaxation Station close to Test Track in EPCOT is already gone
- As Walt Disney World begins to change its physical distancing protocols to comply with new CDC guidelines, testing has begun on queues without any sort of floor distancing markers at EPCOT
- With the Morocco Pavilion “under new management” (Disney took over control last fall), there have been many design changes around the area and currently, a new sign is in place outside the pavilion, likely to help direct guests around the recently-erected planter wall

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened a little late today after being closed for a full day yesterday
Disney Springs

- Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew opened back in January with themed round markers set six feet apart throughout the queue but all physical distancing markers were gone today
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a permit to install parking lot signs on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser property, referred to as Project H
- A massive tree removal project is underway around Fire Rock Geyser at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Other Walt Disney World News

- A Monorail track support on the road between Disney’s Contemporary Resort and the Magic Kingdom bus loop at Walt Disney World has been struck by a construction vehicle
- Just hours after the construction vehicle struck a section of the Walt Disney World Monorail track, crews were onsite to begin repairs
- According to reports from multiple Cast Members, Disney is not providing necessary information regarding financial assistance available through The American Rescue Plan (ARP) for health insurance benefits (COBRA) to those who lost their jobs during the pandemic
- The theme park fun continues well into summer, as Walt Disney World has released its hours for all four theme parks and Blizzard Beach from August 1st through the 7th
Disneyland Resort
- While July 4th weekend might be in the heat of the summer, it’s going to be a cool time at Disneyland as according to the resort’s Daily Events Schedule, Matterhorn Bobsleds is set to finally reopen to guests on Friday, July 2nd
- California has met the necessary health metrics to fully reopen as planned on June 15, meaning that there will be no physical distancing and no capacity limitations, and masking in the state will be aligned with the CDC guidelines

- As California gets the all-clear to fully reopen, the Disneyland Resort is getting ready to end temperature checks for guests and Cast Members beginning June 15th, according to The Orange County Register
- On our most recent visit to Disney California Adventure, we noticed that the FASTPASS distribution machines were totally removed from the recently-reopened Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
Disneyland Paris
- As a special thanks to their passholders, Disneyland Paris is not only extending their Annual Pass validity but also holding special passholder preview days ahead of their June 17th reopening

- Just in time for Pride Month, a colorful new Minnie Mouse ear headband has arrived at Walt Disney World
- Walt Disney World is getting curiouser and curiouser these days, and that may be thanks to the new Alice in Wonderland collection by Kate Spade New York that’s now available at Magic Kingdom
- Three new Disney-inspired items — two body butters and a “bow-tique” bath bomb — have arrived at Basin, the bath and beauty store in Disney Springs
- The latest MagicBand to hit shelves at Walt Disney World has left us feeling strange… but that may just be because it features the stars of Gravity Falls
- The latest “big feet” plush to arrive at Walt Disney World is Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy
- Arribas France of Disneyland Paris—which is reopening June 17—is releasing a new collection of merchandise inspired by Pizza Planet from Toy Story
- Three new charm sets from the Disney Parks Pandora collection have arrived in Uptown Jewelers at the Magic Kingdom, and are perfect for the superhero or pet lover in your family
