Magic Kingdom
- Disney has not announced the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2021, instead revealing a new Halloween-themed Disney After Hours BOO BASH event coming this fall to Magic Kingdom Park
- Over in Tomorrowland, the Cool Ship has been behind construction walls since March so we stopped by this morning to see how progress is going at this far-out drink stand
- More plaques from the closed Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game have been removed from Liberty Square and Fantasyland
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor has been closed for over a year at Magic Kingdom due to the COVID-19 pandemic and during that time, the billboard-like sign near the entrance doors has remained covered — until now
EPCOT
- One of the effects currently being tested on the Harmonious barges includes a “screen” of water filling the ring centerpiece, which images and video can be projected onto
- Welcome to an exciting day at EPCOT full of checking on construction projects as usual and finding some fun things to show you in this photo report
Disney Springs
- Six of the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels are celebrating first responders and teachers by offering special booking rates as low as $79
- In celebration of being “Halfway to Halloween” (we’re actually more than halfway there, but we won’t get into this now), two Disney Springs establishments are introducing some limited time treats — Gideon’s Bakehouse is offering hand pies and The Ganachery is offering a Hocus Pocus Cauldron Cocoa Bomb
Other Walt Disney World News
- Walt Disney World Cast Members will soon be receiving their special 50th anniversary name tags
- Earlier this week, most of the character-themed gates at the Transportation and Ticket Center were removed and supports began to be painted blue to match the 50th anniversary color scheme, and now the final character gate is gone
- Walt Disney World theme park hours have been released from July 18 through July 24, having previously been released through July 17
- The verbiage on The Walt Disney World website has been updated to remove mention of temperature checks at resort table service restaurants
- Refurbishment on the EPCOT/World Center Drive entrance archway is progressing quickly and we have your most recent construction update right here
Disneyland Resort
- With Disneyland’s reopening, guests can once again fly through the night sky on Space Mountain in Tomorrowland so we stopped by to check in on this fan-favorite attraction
- Disneyland has announced that over 15,000 Cast Members who are both active and furloughed, along with their families, will be eligible for the single-shot Johnson & Johnson or the two-shot Pfizer vaccination at a vaccination clinic to be held at the Disneyland hotel through May and June
- While entering Disney California Adventure, we were met with a few new character sightings, including Mickey and Friends, Oswald, Snow White and Dopey, and more
- Over in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree reopened with COVID-19 safety measures in place
- ‘Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!’ has reopened at Disney California Adventure and we were ready to get scared
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh reopened with the park on April 30th, 2021 so we stopped by to get sticky-stuck in honey with Winnie the Pooh and friends
Disney Cruise Line
- A Disney Cruise Line ship may begin setting sail from Ft. Lauderdale’s Port Everglades in 2022, being Disney Cruise Line’s first year-round ship stationed outside of Port Canaveral
New Merchandise
- This new Mandalorian MagicBand has arrived at Pin Traders in Disney Springs. This is the way.
- With all of today’s Halloween announcements, Disney is now previewing some ghoulishly cool new Haunted Mansion apparel and “Cruella” NuiMOs coming soon to Disney Parks
Entertainment and Media
Disney+
- The Muppets are invading The Haunted Mansion on a new special coming this fall to Disney+
- Broadcast networks air reruns for most of the summer but fortunately for streamers, Disney+ will keep new content coming even in the heat of summer so let’s take a look at Disney+ content for July 2021
